Elizabeth Frame Ellison is fighting:

  • Workplace Discrimination.

Almost all states have adopted discrimination laws related to employment, however thousands of people report job discrimination to the government each year. Employers are rarely held accountable. Over the last 25 years, there were nearly two million discrimination complaints filed in the US.

  • Food Insecurity.

In Oklahoma, one in three children go to bed hungry, and one in six is food insecure. In fact, a staggering 20% of Tulsa’s children are food insecure. Many of Tulsa’s citizens do not have room in their budget for food, because they do not make enough money to afford the basic costs of living.

  • Wage Insecurity.

Poverty wages of industry employees have been an issue for a long time, and as the industry has grown to employ more people, low wages have become a larger issue because they impact more people, placing a greater strain on government safety net programs.

When I questioned our approach, Taylor kept me grounded. We made a great team, and I will cherish the memories we created cooking together for the rest of my life.
